CM INAUGURATES KFPA NEW BUILDING

The Kannada Film Producers Association (KFPA) inaugurated its new building at Shivananda Circle, very close to the Apex Body Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, on Sunday morning, June 30, 2024. The event saw a huge attendance of Kannada film personalities and was graced by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah assured the film fraternity of his support in all possible ways and invited them to a meeting soon to address various issues that require solutions.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah further said, “The number of Kannadigas in Karnataka, which was three crore, has now grown to seven crore. Culture and language should grow along with the population. However, I have heard that today the Kannada film industry is facing many problems. Artists and technicians need to grow, so the role of the producer is crucial. However, today Kannada producers are in trouble.”

On this occasion, Shivrajkumar, Jaggesh, Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce President N.M. Suresh, Producers Association President Umesh Bankar, Karnataka Film Academy President Sadhu Kokila, and many others were present.

Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy President Sadhu Kokila stated that a new OTT platform would be set up in Karnataka to provide a good solution for producers. The OTT platform, ‘Namma Movies,’ will be established with government and private participation, he assured.
