The Trend of Dance Masters Turned Directors: Kalai and Bhushan Embark on their Directorial Journey
In the glitzy world of Tinseltown, the trend of dance masters transitioning into directors is gaining momentum. Leading this wave is Harsha, who has already made a mark as a director. Now, two more dance masters, Kalai and Bhushan, are stepping into the directorial arena simultaneously, adding to the excitement and anticipation in the Kannada film industry.
Kalai, a prominent figure in the Kannada cinema industry, has spent an impressive 23 years as a dance director, contributing his talent to over 300 films. However, he is now embarking on a new chapter in his career, making his directorial debut with a socially relevant film under the banner of Rajalakshmi Entertainment.
In a notable collaboration, Kalai has roped in the talented actor Prajwal Devaraj as the lead for his maiden directorial venture. This film, backed by producer Prathibha, who hails from Mangaluru and is renowned for running the successful Rajalakshmi Travel business, is all set to commence shooting in October this year.
Excitement abounds as Kalai has meticulously planned an 80-day shoot, with the film comprising six action sequences and six melodious songs. The dialogue portions are being skillfully crafted by Shanker and Chandramouli, ensuring a compelling and engaging cinematic experience for the audience.
It’s worth noting that this marks the third Kannada film investment for producer Prathibha, who is known for backing socially relevant topics that resonate with viewers. Her belief in Kalai’s directorial abilities speaks volumes about the promising potential of this upcoming project.
As October approaches, the Kannada film fraternity eagerly awaits the commencement of shooting for Kalai’s directorial venture. With his wealth of experience as a dance director and a team of talented professionals supporting him, there’s no doubt that Kalai’s maiden independent directorial endeavor will make a significant impact on the industry and entertain audiences alike.
