A sequel to the 2014 Kannada film ” Adyaksha,” starring Sharan in the titular role and Chikkanna as Upadhyaksha, is now bringing us the story of “Upadhyaksha,” featuring Chikkanna as the film’s hero.
Over the past 13 years, Chikkanna, a renowned comedy actor, has experienced numerous delightful moments. However, this particular film, in which he takes the lead, has taught him a valuable lesson in the world of cinema. Recalling the moment when he accepted the role of ‘Upadhyaksha,’ Chikkanna spoke with a choked voice while controlling his emotions at the teaser launch event organized by Umapathi Films.
Umapathy Srinivas Gowda, a prominent figure in Kannada cinema known for producing films like “Hebbuli,” “Robert,” and “Ondalla Eradalla,” is relying on Chikkanna’s charismatic appeal to create a high-budget film with a talented cast and skilled technicians.
The teaser launch of the Kannada film “Upadhyaksha” saw the presence of popular stars, including Dhuniya Vijay, Abhishek Ambarish, Lovely Star Premkumar, Dhanveer Gowda, Aditi Prabhudeva, Pratham, and others who came to extend their best wishes to Chikkanna. It’s a noteworthy transition from Chikkanna contributing comedy elements to Kannada films to becoming the film’s hero, and it was warmly acknowledged.
Rajashekhar has penned the dialogues for this film “Upadhyaksha,” based on a story by Chandramohan. The audio rights of the film have been acquired by Anand Audio.
Sharan, a popular hero, makes a guest appearance in the film at a pivotal moment. Smitha Umapathy Srinivas Gowda is the official producer of this project.
Malaika, known for her role in the popular mega television serial “Hitler Kalyana,” makes her debut as the female co-star alongside Chikkanna, who is taking on the role of a hero for the first time.
Director Anil Kumar is confident that the film will deliver an entertaining experience. Notably, the acclaimed composer Arjun Janya was absent from the teaser launch event.
The teaser launch of “Upadhyaksha” was attended by a crowded gathering, including Dr. Soori, Mahesh Kumar, Garuda Ram, Anand Audio Shyam, and several others.
