Sai Pallavi adds to the list of women directors in Kannada filmdom. The launch of Sai Pallavi’s film, Canberry Babies, was held at Sri Balamuri Balachandra Mahaganapati Temple in Bangalore.
Sai Pallavi has chosen a suspense thriller and murder mystery for her first film. The story revolves around five young women. “After working as an associate on some films, I directed a film called Mayajala. This is my second film. It is about five young women who come to Bangalore with big dreams and face all kinds of problems and risks,” she said. She has planned to shoot for 25 to 30 days around Bangalore. Nandini Gowda, Raksha, and Sushmitha Gowda are taking on prominent roles and described the roles they are performing at a media address. Comedian Vijay Chendur is playing the role of a constable, which gives a new twist to the story. Another veteran actor-cum-editor, Nagendra Urs, is seen in the role of a scientist in the film. Mallikarjun is the cinematographer for this film. Four songs in the film have music by S. Nagu and lyrics by Ram Narayan. S.S. Eshwar provides the background music. The film has choreography by Aryan Roshan, editing by Dhanush, and art direction by Veeresh.
