Undoubtedly, Sihi Kahi Chandru is the renowned Master Chef of Karnataka. Since 1992, he has showcased his culinary expertise in various programs across different channels, but this has also led to his acting talents taking a back seat.

However, Sihi Kahi Chandru is not perturbed by this, as he is now focused on establishing his own brand. His unique and classy culinary creations have earned him a remarkable reputation.

During the celebration of the 850th episode of his show ‘Bombat Bhojana,’ Sihi Kahi Chandru addressed the media and also launched two books: ‘Bombat Bhojana Book 2’ and ‘Arogya Ahara’ by Dr. Gowri Subramanya.

Sihi Kahi Chandru’s journey in the culinary world began in 1992 with Doordarshan. His popularity grew, and he soon appeared on various private satellite channels, hosting thousands of programs since 2001. His show has become a significant landmark today. Alongside his beloved wife, Sihi Kahi Geetha, and their daughter, Kushi, ‘Bombat Bhojana’ has flourished. Additionally, the inclusion of health tips from Dr. Gowri Subramanya has made the program a household favorite.

The success of ‘Bombat Bhojana’ is the result of Sihi Kahi Chandru’s dedicated efforts. As he approaches the 1000th episode, he plans something special to commemorate the occasion. He extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Gowri Subramanya, his wife Geetha, daughter Kushi for her beauty tips, writer MS Narasimha Murthy, Star Suvarna channel, and Varsha for contributing to the grand success of the show.

Dr. Gowri Subramanya, an Ayurveda expert, has been sharing hundreds of kitchen-based health tips, making her contributions invaluable. Her husband also played a role in compiling her inputs, resulting in her books like ‘Angaiyalli Arogya’ and ‘Aahara Arogya,’ which have been well-received by readers. She has gained a reputation for her effective Ayurvedic remedies, attracting even prominent doctors to seek solutions from her preparations.

MS Narasimha Murthy, a distinguished humorist, and professor, highlighted the importance of ‘Shadrasas’ and mentioned that a significant portion of his writing, approximately 8000 episodes out of 11000, are for Sihi Kahi Chandru productions. He believes that ‘Bombat Bhojana’ is a culturally significant program.

The voiceover by Sihi Kahi Chandru at the end of ‘Bombat Bhojana’ has also become a super hit, especially due to the quick and delightful evening snack preparations. Sihi Kahi Geetha describes the program as ‘Sarala, Sundara, Samsarika,’ and it has attracted viewers of all ages, including those as old as 95, from various states and countries. Many viewers have praised the program, likening its preparations to the taste of a mother’s cooking (‘Ammana Kai Ruchi’). Both Chandru and Narasimha Murthy are hailed as ‘Savira Saradararu.’

Khushi, the second daughter of Geetha and Chandru, hosts the ‘Beauty Tips’ segment every Friday, where she showcases beauty tips using readily available ingredients from kitchen cupboards. Her ‘Beauty Tips’ series has already aired numerous episodes alongside her father’s ‘Bombat Bhojana.’

Varsha, the fiction head of Star Suvarna channel, expressed her desire to bring in ‘Legacy’ when she joined the channel three years ago. She invited Sihi Kahi Chandru for the ‘Bombat Bhojana’ season, propelling the show to No.1 in the rankings during the past three years. The channel aims to continue the show’s success with a target of 5000 episodes. Varsha also shared how her father managed to gain 15 kilograms by following the program while relishing the ‘Bombat Halva’ and ‘Filter Coffee’ featured in the current season.

During the occasion, Ashirwad Madhur and Madhusudhan of Swarna Gowri Masala Vishal Raj unveiled the two books.
