Speaking at the event, the director stated that the story moves through five genres and two threads, covering crime, suspense, and thrill. Inspired by Upendra, the narrative includes scenes set in the past and present. Some real incidents have been adapted into the storyline. The word ‘genre’ itself served as the title due to its rhyming nature. The plot deals with how a person forgets certain incidents in the conflict between the hero and the villain and how he begins to search for the forgotten aspects of his life. The curiosity remains until the climax. The film also includes mafia elements. Shooting took place in Bangalore, Mangalore, and Bombay.
Vishal Kiran, a fitness model, plays the lead role of a CBI officer. Shivangi Dave is the female lead. Prashanth V. Hari plays the antagonist. The cast also includes Nisha Hegde, Sidlungu Sridhar, Krishna Hebbale, Sundar Veena, Puneet, and Deepika Adtale.
Songs written by Abhijit Mahesh and Shailesh Kumar have been composed by Siddharth Kamath. Cinematography is by Devu, editing by S. Akash Mahendrakar, and stunt direction by Avatar Aditya.
