A team of newcomers has come together with enthusiasm to create ‘Billari.’ The muhurat for the film was held at Sri Bande Mahakali Temple. Karnataka Film Producers Association President Umesh Bankar clapped the board for the first scene and wished the team good luck. Lakshmi Dhanpal, the producer’s mother, switched on the camera.
Under AVK Production, Rishvik Shetty is writing and producing the story, as well as acting in the lead role. Gokak-based PL Bharamanna is handling the cinematography and direction. Shilpa Gowda is also recognized as a producer.
According to director Bharamanna, ‘Billari’ contains fictional elements. Although “Billari” has a different meaning in the dictionary, in our movie, it is the name of the character and the title. ‘Billari’ is a historical suspense thriller about a tribal king. This tribe has a population of eleven lakhs in India, with most members living in Gujarat and Rajasthan.
The film shoot will take place in Bangalore, Arasikere, Hassan, Annigeri, Gajendragad, and Yan Sundara. The climax will hint at a sequel.
Rishvik Shetty stars as the king and officer. Chaitra Loknath, hailing from Mysore, is the heroine, playing Bhatt’s daughter. Other actors include Nagendra Aras, Prakash Tumminadu, MK Math, Kempegowda, Balaram Panchal, Chandraprabha of ‘Mahabharat’ fame, and Naveen Bondel of ‘Kantara’ fame, handling dialogues and acting.
Out of the four songs, Pramod has penned the lyrics for a love song. The music is composed by Subhash, cinematography is handled by Agastya U. Gowda, and the art director is Tirupathi.
