Kannada cinema has a vast audience that has embraced content-oriented films, and when a movie follows a strong commercial path, curiosity is naturally piqued.

Currently, the film creating such excitement is Bilichukki Hallihakki. Directed by Mahesh Gowda, who previously gained attention for his work in Mahira, this time he not only directs but also produces and stars in the lead role of Bilichukki Hallihakki.

A poster for the film was unveiled during Dussehra, adding to the anticipation and setting the mood for the audience.

Bilichukki Hallihakki holds the unique distinction of being the first film in the country to be produced featuring vitiligo, both thematically and visually. In most films with such storylines, actors use makeup to portray their characters. However, in this film, Mahesh Gowda, who himself has vitiligo, brings authenticity to the role by embracing his condition. Vitiligo is not an unknown condition, but the mental and physical suffering associated with it is often difficult to comprehend. Mahesh Gowda hopes this film transcends the perception of being purely artistic and offers something deeper.

Despite the sensitive nature of the story, Bilichukki Hallihakki is packed with solid entertainment elements. The film is a romantic drama with no shortage of humor, appealing to audiences of all ages. Mahesh Gowda believes that the film, centered around the bond between two characters, will offer viewers a unique experience.

Mahesh Gowda, who has drawn attention with Bilichukki Hallihakki, holds an MBA from London and has completed a filmmaking course at the London Film Academy. After living in London for many years, he returned to India in 2013, driven by a dream to make a mark in the film industry.

With Mahira, he made his first strides toward achieving that dream. Now, with Bilichukki Hallihakki, produced under the banner of Honnudi Productions, he takes the next step.

In November, more exciting details about the movie will be revealed.
