Short films often serve as a stepping stone for newcomers, who may have previously worked in ad films, documentaries, or attended cinema schools. For Mayura and Thejas, the journey began with two short films, “First Love Part I” and “Part II,” which ultimately inspired the establishment of ‘Aroha Films’. The content of these short films, with some enhancements, now forms the basis of the feature film ‘Bhava Theera Yaana’.
The film’s title is derived from a collection of columns by journalist AR Manikanth, titled ‘Bhava Theera Yana,’ which has sold over 50,000 copies. Graciously, Manikanth has permitted the filmmakers at Aroha Films to use this title.
Recently, the title unveiling ceremony for the film took place, showcasing a narrative centered around a boy’s journey of love, featuring Tejas Kiran and Arohi Naina as the protagonists. Esteemed actors Ramesh Bhatt and Vidyamurthy also grace the screen in pivotal roles.
Columnist A.R. Mayura has drawn inspiration from Manikanth’s renowned article, ‘Guchcha Bhavatirayana,’ for the film’s title. The title launch event saw the presence of notable figures such as producer Bhama Harish, Nityananda Prabhu, Karisubbu, Shilpa Srinivas, Lion Venkatesh, and journalist A.R. Manikanth.
During the event, veteran actor Ramesh Bhatt expressed his gratitude towards the team, highlighting the unique role they offered him after his illustrious 50-year career. Vidyamurthy echoed sentiments of gratitude, feeling fortunate to share the screen with Bhatt.
‘Bhava Theera Yana’ encapsulates the life journey of a young man portrayed by Tejas, with Vishakha Nagalpur credited for the dialogue. Initially conceived as a two-part short film totaling 40 minutes, the story has since expanded to over an hour with the addition of new characters. Currently, the film is in the post-production phase.
Mayura, who doubles as the music composer and director, attributed the film’s inception to a concise line inspired by Krishna, which has now blossomed into a full-fledged movie.
Shailesh Ambekallu and Lakshmana BK serve as the film’s producers, with Arohi Naina emphasizing the importance of media support for their humble beginnings.
