The 50-day celebration of “Bharati Teacher 7ne Taragathi”, which gained recognition as the first film of 2026 to effortlessly complete a half-century run, was held grandly at the Artists’ Association. Produced under Poojya Films by entrepreneur Raghavendra Reddy, with Gururaj Reddy as co-producer, the film has story, screenplay, dialogues, lyrics, music, and direction handled by M.L. Prasanna. Venkat Gowda of Sachit Films is recognized as the creative head.
Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad, actor Dharma Keerthiraj, Mohan, Ravi Gowda, directors Jadesh K. Hampi, Om Prakash Rao, senior journalist and actor Chakravarthy Chandrachud, Veerakaputra Srinivas, and others attended the event and appreciated the team’s work.
Sihi Kahi Chandru plays the role of a teacher, while Kumari Yashika appears in the title role. The film also features Govindegowda, Ashwin Hasan, Comedy Kiladigalu fame Divya Anchan, Benaka Nanjappa, Rohit Raghavendra, Soujanya Sunil, M.J. Rangaswamy, and others. Cinematography is by M.B. Hallikatti, editing by Sujith Nayak, music arrangement by K.M. Indra, choreography by Kambiraj, and executive production by Darshan Gowda.
Speaking at the event, Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad said that in the future, the chances of witnessing 100-day or silver jubilee celebrations are very low, as the industry has entered a highly competitive era. Even superstar films struggle to run for 20–30 days. In such times, it is commendable that this film delivers a strong message in favor of Kannada and serves as guidance for the next generation. Efforts should be made to take such meaningful films to the audience, and this team has done exactly that. He added that he has watched the film and enjoyed every character’s performance.
Sihi Kahi Chandru expressed his happiness, saying it was his fortune to be part of such a rare event. Despite acting in over 500 films, this is the first time he has received such a significant role. He admitted he initially lacked confidence in portraying the character but thanked the director for trusting him. He added that throughout the journey, nothing was discussed except the film, and today their hard work has paid off.
