While different language films are aiming for an August 15th release to coincide with Indian Independence Day, one of Dr. Shivarajakumar’s best leads announced the release date.
Produced by Geetha Shivarajakumar under the Geetha Pictures banner, directed by Narthan, and starring Karunada Chakravarthy Dr. Shivarajkumar in the lead role, the much-awaited film “Bharati Rangal” is set to release on August 15th, Independence Day.
The film ‘Bharati Rangal’ has already been making headlines as a prequel to the film ‘Mufti,’ which was released six years ago. However, while making ‘Mufti,’ I was unsure about acting in this film. ‘Because my role in that film would come after the interval. Srimurali was playing another role in that film. Murali is my father-in-law’s son. It wasn’t as simple as saying no. So, there was a dilemma. In such a situation, director Narthan approached and suggested that I play this role. That gave me confidence. Subsequently, I agreed to act in the movie “Mufti,” Shivarajakumar explained.
As I began portraying the character, I started to like it. That’s the reason for the name. It’s quite an unusual name to hear. Nevertheless, the dialogue was compelling. The backstory of Bharati Rangal, which existed, has been elaborated upon here. Why does he become Bharati Rangal? People will understand why they adore him so much when they see him. Director Narthan has crafted a very compelling story,’ said Shivanna.
Why does Shivanna’s character wear a black dress in this film? Director Narthan explained that while making the film “Mufti,” the significance of that role increased. Shivanna’s role emerges after the interval. The backstory of Rangal was conceived when it was decided that this character shouldn’t be abruptly concluded, something should be written about its background. The story flowed effortlessly as I began writing. How did “Bharati Rangal” evolve into a gangster? When this movie was written and the story narrated, Shivanna and Geethakka did not ask for anything else. Already, 70 percent of the film shoot is complete. The film is set to release on August 15,’ stated Narthan.
Producer Geetha Shivarajkumar mentioned that the film is being released on August 15th since people usually visit theaters when they have consecutive holidays.
Shivarajkumar, Rukmini Vasanth, Rahul Bose, Avinash, Devraj, Madhu Guruswamy, Chhaya Singh, and Babu Hirannaiah are starring in the film. “Bharati Rangal” boasts cinematography by Naveen Kumar and music by the ace composer Ravi Basrur.
