When the impossible is made possible with effort, it is called a “Bhagiratha” effort. The movie Bhagiratha is coming with such a unique story. For this film, which is already set to hit the screens, the promotional song “Mawa Mawa” was shot over three days in KR Puram recently. Jayaprakash, Nisarga Annappa, and Rupshree participated in the shooting of this song, choreographed by Nagi Master.
“Fifteen years ago, I made my directorial debut with the film Boyfriend. Now, I have directed Bhagiratha, which has a distinct story. As the title suggests, the protagonist is someone who accomplishes the impossible. The shooting has been completed, and the film will go before the censors next week. Recently, we shot the promotional song for the film in KR Puram, featuring Jayaprakash, Nisarga, and Rupshree. This song is not only promotional but is also part of the film,” said Director Ram Janardhan. He added that Mangli and Vijay Prakash would soon lend their voices to the song.
Producer B. Bhairappa shared that he and K. Ramesh produced the film under the Sai Ramesh Production banner and mentioned that he also played a small role in the film.
“I was a journalist before becoming an actor through the film Zamana. In Bhagiratha, I play a character who is fearless and strong-willed. The adventure sequences are one of the film’s highlights. As a karate master, performing in action scenes was relatively easy for me. This is a family film,” said actor Jayaprakash.
Nisarga Annappa revealed that she plays the role of Radha, while co-star Rupshree said her character is named Rukmini. Actor Sashidhar, Choreographer Nagi, and Cinematographer Mahesh Talakadu also shared their thoughts about Bhagiratha. Executive producer Chetan Ramesh provided further insights into the story.
With music composed by Pradeep Varma and cinematography by Suri Chittoor, the film features a stellar cast, including Jayaprakash, Chandana Raghavendra, Sudha Belawadi, Shivraj KR Pete, Ravi Kale, Srinivasa Prabhu, Bala Rajawadi, Nayana, Surabhi Ravi, Shreya Pavani, Nisarga Annappa, Rupshree, Sashidhar, and others.
