Bengaluru witnessed an unprecedented event as the city’s metro system was used for a birthday-themed display dedicated to actor Yash. This marked the first time a metro train in Bengaluru has been fully utilised for a personal birthday celebration.
The initiative was organised by Yash’s friends as a surprise ahead of his birthday. A train operating on the Namma Metro network featured visuals and messages associated with the actor, turning the metro coaches into a moving display across the city.
The takeover became possible after the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited introduced provisions for full-train advertising, allowing the exterior of metro coaches to be wrapped for promotional purposes. In this instance, the space was used for a non-commercial celebration rather than a brand or product campaign.
Commuters travelling on the metro encountered the decorated coaches during regular service, and visuals from the train circulated widely across social media platforms. The display attracted public attention due to its scale and its use of a major public transport system for a personal occasion.
The metro celebration coincides with heightened public interest surrounding Yash’s upcoming film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, which is scheduled for release in March 2026.
