A movie is being made on the life of Martyr Police Officer (P.S.I) Mallikarjun Bande, who was killed in a shootout while attempting to capture rowdy-sheeter Munnana in Gulbarga a few years ago. This real-life incident-based film has been titled “Bande Saheb.”
Santosh Ram plays the lead role in the film. Having acted in several popular TV serials like “Krishna Rukmini” and superhit movies like “Tony,” Santosh Ram made his debut as a hero with “Pantru.” “Bande Saheb” marks his second film as a lead actor. Expressing his pride in playing the role of a dedicated police officer, Santosh Ram shared his excitement.
Kavya Bharadwaj, who has made a mark in the modeling industry, plays the female lead. The film also features actors like Veeranna Koralli, Biradar, and Simba in key roles.
Produced under the Mallige Cine Combines banner by Gopanna Dodmani, Kamala Dodmani, and Mala V. Koralli, the film is directed by Chinmay Ram. Having worked as an assistant director for films like “Kurukshetra” and “The Villain,” “Bande Saheb” marks Chinmay Ram’s directorial debut.
The film’s shooting has been completed, with major portions filmed in Gulbarga and Bengaluru. The movie features four songs composed by M.S. Tyagaraj, which will soon be released through a renowned music label.
Veeranna Koralli, who plays a crucial role in the film, has also written the story, screenplay, and dialogues. The cinematography is handled by Munjane Manju, and the action sequences are choreographed by Chandru Bande.
