The film Balaramana Dinagalu marked the Sankranti festival with a celebration during which the song Shuru Shuru from the film was released. The film is directed by K.M. Chaitanya, 18 years after the release of Aa Dinagalu, which was also directed by him.
The film is produced by Padmavati Jayaram and Shreyas. Tiger Vinod Prabhakar plays the lead role, marking his 25th film as a hero. Priya Anand plays the female lead. The cast also includes Avinash, Atul Kulkarni, Ashish Vidyarthi, Vinay Gowda, and several senior and junior actors.
The Sankranti celebration was held at Arji Resort in Mandya, where the film team interacted with media representatives. The event took place at RG Resort in a festive setting. Actor Priya Anand, actor Vinod Prabhakar, director K.M. Chaitanya, producers Padmavati and Shreyas attended the event and spoke on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, Vinod Prabhakar said Balaramana Dinagalu marked a turning point in his career. Referring to Madeva, he said his life changed after that film and stated that he lived the character of Balarama closely while preparing for the role with dedication. He also mentioned that he attributes his journey to his father and became emotional while speaking.
Actress Priya Anand said she has a strong liking for animals and that she returned to Kannada cinema through this film. She said she requires the audience’s support, stated that the dialogue scenes have turned out well, and said she was happy to act alongside Vinod Prabhakar. She added that she plans to act in more Kannada films in the future.
Producer Shreyas said the film began on a simple note and progressed smoothly. He requested support and good wishes from everyone.
Vinod Prabhakar’s wife Nisha also spoke, stating that she was responsible for monitoring production expenses and overseeing how the budget was utilised. She said she was happy to work with the team and mentioned that Shreyas managed various aspects of the production despite the expenses involved.
Actor Vinay Gowda, who plays a major role in the film and is also known as Katthi, extended Sankranti wishes. He said the team worked with effort on the film and referred to it as a Sankranti gift. He stated that Balaramana Dinagalu holds importance in his career and said details about his character would be revealed in the film.
Producer Padmavati said the day was significant for her and stated that the film has generated higher expectations than initially anticipated. She thanked audiences for their support and said she was happy to work with the team. She mentioned that there was no compromise during production and said working with Vinod Prabhakar, Priya Anand, Vinay Gowda, Rajath Pratap Narayan, and others was a positive experience. She also noted that director K.M. Chaitanya played a central role in bringing the project together and requested continued support.
Actor Rajath, who appears in a small role, said the film was being shot while he was participating in Bigg Boss. He said he was initially unsure about joining the project, but after coming out of the show, director Chaitanya contacted him. He said the film marked an important phase in his career and that he would remember it.
As part of the Sankranti celebrations, the film team shared a meal with media representatives and participated in games. The film team and media were divided into two groups, with one team led by Nisha Vinod Prabhakar. Gifts were announced for the winners. The celebrations included traditional games, followed by informal interaction with the media.
