The talented female rap artist Ishani has released her fourth Kannada song, Asali Banna, using it as a response to her detractors on social media. Ishani, visibly emotional, expressed her disappointment over the negative comments, particularly those made after her participation in Bigg Boss 10. While she acknowledges the supportive feedback from many of her 60K followers, she felt compelled to address the toxic comments through this song.

Ishani, who has gained international recognition with 17 English albums, has performed in Dubai and the USA, and studied music at a renowned studio in Los Angeles. She is proud to present her fourth Kannada song, featuring both singing and dancing. A native of Mysore, Ishani has long dreamed of performing in Kannada and has previously attempted two songs, Right or Wrong and Freedom.

Asali Banna is a hip-hop track in Kannada, addressing the criticism Ishani has faced for her modern dress sense and boldness on social media. “Why can’t people tolerate me dressing how I want?” she questioned. Through this song, Ishani responds to the negativity. She has even filed a complaint with the cybercrime police regarding the hateful comments, but the process has been slow. “Many people use fake accounts, making it difficult to take action against them. I wanted to send a message to such individuals, and I’ve expressed my feelings through this song,” she said.

Asali Banna was released on Ishani’s YouTube channel on her birthday. The song, sung and performed by Ishani, was shot in just one day, with production costs around one lakh rupees.

The song was produced by Venkat, directed by Giri Gowda, with lyrics by Martin. Keertan Pujari handled the camera work, and DJ Lethal composed the music.

“I wanted to address those who post hateful comments about women. They should understand how their words affect us. I wrote this song during Bigg Boss, and it felt like the perfect way to express my feelings. Martin added the final touches to it. The goal of this song is to empower women who have been exploited,” Ishani shared.

Director Giri Gowda commented, “As supporters of Ishani, we made this song to help her. I plan to collaborate with her on more songs. We shot this video in a single day on Bangalore’s Airport Road.”

The song was launched by entrepreneurs Suresh, Manjesh, and Manish, who are involved in various businesses. Bigg Boss friends Rakshak Bullet (comedian Bullet Prakash’s son), Tanisha, Siri, and Aishwarya extended their best wishes, with Tanisha adding, “We’ve also had similar bad experiences.”
