The teaser of Amaravati Police Station, a suspense thriller set in the fictional coastal town of Amaravati, has been officially released. The film revolves around mysterious disappearances, shocking murders, and intriguing events, with Dharma Keerthiraj playing the lead role.
Written, scripted, and directed by Puneeth Arasikere, this bilingual film’s teaser launch event was held at the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce. Senior Kannada film PR expert Nagendra, who has promoted over 800 films, unveiled the teaser and wished the team success.
The film’s plot revolves around a missing village head (Gowda), followed by the disappearance of a police officer investigating the case. The mystery behind these incidents forms the crux of Amaravati Police Station. Additionally, the film includes elements related to Naga Sadhus, which will be revealed on-screen.
Dharma Keerthiraj plays a police inspector, while Gururaj Jaggesh portrays another significant role. Vedvika is the film’s female lead. Speaking about his role, Dharma Keerthiraj said, “I play an undercover cop in this film. The action sequences are unique, and Puneeth’s story is exceptionally gripping.”
Director Puneeth Arasikere stated that 90% of the film has been completed over 36 days of shooting. The climax and a song sequence will be filmed in Goa and Hindupur. He also announced that a romantic track from the film will be released on March 17, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Puneeth Rajkumar, with plans to release the movie by the end of March or early April.
This is Puneeth Arasikere’s second directorial venture, produced grandly under the P.P. Power Pictures banner by K.R. Pradeep Kamalapura, with Geetha Anjanareddy as the co-producer.
The ensemble cast includes veteran actress Bhavya, Sadhu Kokila, Cockroach Sudhi, Nagendra Prasad, Dharmanna Kadur, and others. The film features four songs, with music composed by Ronada Bakkesh, cinematography by Gautham Matti, action choreography by Different Danny and Ultimate Shivu, editing by Venky UVD, and dialogues by Arya Shivu Karagunda.
