For the first time in the history of Kunigal city, the final day of the ‘Kunigal Utsav’ was held in the presence of 35,000 people gathered at the B.K.B.M.S. Grounds. This colorful event was conducted under the leadership of MLA Dr. Ranganath on a massive set erected in a manner surpassing even the grandeur of a cinema set.
The final day of this grand three-day festival was electrified by the arrival of many Sandalwood stars including Kiccha Sudeep, senior actress Malashri, Anu Prabhakar, Nenapirali Prem, Dalli Dhananjay, Zaid Khan, Aradhana Ram, film producer Sanjay Gowda, and several others.
Braving the biting cold, around 35,000 to 40,000 fans thoroughly enjoyed the musical evening by Naveen Sajju and Chandan Shetty, which went on continuously for three hours.
The chief guests, State Deputy Chief Minister Shri D.K. Shivakumar and former MP Shri D.K. Suresh, were left speechless on seeing the sea of people and the trust they had placed in their MLA Ranganath.
Addressing the gathering on this stage, DCM D.K. Shivakumar said, I am very happy to see all of you. This is the festival of the people of Kunigal, their celebration. A human being is born with four debts — debt to parents, debt to teachers, debt to God, and debt to society. We have already repaid the debt to society by successfully implementing the five guarantees. Yesterday, Srinivasa’s Kalyanotsava was held with great splendor. Tomorrow, 70,000 laddus will reach every home in Kunigal he said.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Ranganath expressed his happiness and said that the Kunigal Utsav had been successfully conducted. “Today we had expected 10,000 people, but the arrival of more than 35,000 people has added our Kunigal Utsav to the pages of records,” he said.
On this occasion, MLAs L.R. Shivaramegowda, Uday, Iqbal Hussain, and others were present.
