On the occasion of 30 years of Peddarayudu, Superstar Rajinikanth and actor Mohan Babu reunited in Chennai. The film, which released on June 15, 1995, marked a significant success in Telugu cinema. As part of this milestone, both actors watched Vishnu Manchu’s upcoming film Kannappa together, recalling old memories.
Directed by Ravi Raja Pinisetty, Peddarayudu was a blockbuster hit known for its strong narrative, memorable performances, and mass appeal, leaving a lasting mark in Telugu cinema. Coinciding with the film’s 30th anniversary, Rajinikanth and Mohan Babu viewed Kannappa at a private screening.
Kannappa, directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Mohan Babu, is scheduled for a pan-India release on June 27 in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. The film narrates the story of Kannappa, a devotee of Lord Shiva.
Following the screening, Rajinikanth expressed that the film was exceptional in terms of emotion, visual grandeur, and spiritual essence. Mohan Babu also shared his thoughts, mentioning that after 22 years he finally received a long-awaited hug from Rajinikanth, adding that he now feels fearless and invincible as Kannappa approaches its release.
