From the beginning, experimental films have received audience support in Kannada. One such distinct and experimental film, “Green,” has been made in Kannada.

Produced by Raj Vijay and B.N. Swamy, directed by Raj Vijay, and starring Balaji Manohar, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, R.J. Vicky, among others in key roles, the teaser of “Green” was recently released. Watching the teaser makes it clear that “Green” is a film rich in technical finesse and it builds anticipation to watch the movie. After the teaser launch, the team members spoke about “Green.”

Director and producer Raj Vijay, who spoke at the event, said, “Since childhood, while praying to God, I always wished to become a film director. Having worked as an assistant director under several directors in Kannada, this is my first directorial venture. ‘Green’ is a rare psychological mind-bending thriller in Kannada. It’s a thriller that dazzles the psychological mind. ‘Green’ tells the story of a protagonist trying to escape the inner demon that controls his entire life.

The story unfolds in a forest, and most of the filming was done around Ooty. Shooting there till dawn in the biting cold was indeed a unique experience. ‘Green’ has already been showcased at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival and many other national and international festivals, winning awards. Foreigners have appreciated our film, and we are confident that our own people, especially Kannadigas, will also love it. Though the dream was mine, it would not have turned into reality without the immense support of the team. Manoj from Ravi Films will soon release the film across the state.”

Actor Gopalkrishna Deshpande shared, “The director narrated the story to me for about two and a half hours. It’s a very rare story in Kannada, and I appear in a role I have never done before.” R.J. Vicky said, “My role too is wonderful. Acting while seated in a wheelchair was a unique experience.”

Actors Shiva Manju, Vishwanath, Dimpy Padya, cinematographer Madhusudan, music director Shakti Shaak, and others who acted and contributed to the film also spoke about “Green.” Murudayya, Ramachandra, Girish, and others are part of the cast ensemble.
