Nearly 10 personalities from KFI took part in the Karnataka State Assembly elections on May 10, only three could make it to the Assembly as the results have just come in.

Former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy of JDS wins against another cinema personality CP Yogishwar (actor and producer) of BJP in Channapatna constituency.

HDK son Nikhil Kumaraswamy in Ramanagara lost the battle against Iqbal Hussain. In the curiously watched Soraba constituency it is Madhu Bangarappa of Congress I who won against his elder brother Kumara Bangarappa of BJP.

One more producer Umapathy Srinivasa Gowda of Hebbuli, Ondalla Eradalla and Madagaja Umapathi Srinivas Gowda lost the Assembly elections against Satish Reddy.

The former minister, actor, producer BC Patil of BJP lost in Hirekerur constituency was unexpected.

It was not a NICE route for Ashok Kheney from Bidar South from Congress I ticket. Producer and business tycoon Ashok Kheney lost the elections.

Actor of one film Iyengar IPS H Ravindra lost from BJP against Krishnappa of Congress I from Vijayanagara Bengaluru Assembly constituency.

The new Congress I government that amasses over 135 seats in the 224 Assembly seats of Karnataka is forming the government while BJP has to be satisfied as opposition and JDS with around 20 seats keeps silent as it could not be a prominent player as Congress I turned out to be a single largest party.
