The song Jai Bheem from the film Begur Colony was unveiled on Republic Day. The film, starring Rajeev Hanu of Bigg Boss fame, is set to hit the screens on January 31.

Written by Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad, the song is produced under the banner of Shrima Cinemas by M. Srinivas Babu. Directed by Flying King Manju and composed by Abhinandan Kashyap, the song is beautifully rendered by renowned singer Shankar Mahadevan. The release was facilitated through Anand Audio.

Begur Colony narrates a story of struggle, representing the challenges faced by a middle-class colony where residents fight to preserve a playground. With rapid urbanization, playgrounds are increasingly being converted into residential spaces, leaving children without spaces to play. The film underscores the importance of maintaining harmony, portraying a colony where Hindus, Muslims, Christians, and other communities live together peacefully.

Director Flying King Manju said, “On the occasion of Republic Day, we released a song that promotes harmony. The lyrics by V. Nagendra Prasad are wonderful, the music by Abhinandan Kashyap is exceptional, and Shankar Mahadevan’s singing is amazing. The songs and trailer have already touched the hearts of many. Our film will be released on January 31. Watch it and encourage us.”

Hero Rajeev Hanu expressed, “The song Jai Bheem released today is very impactful. As the director mentioned, this is a story of struggle — but not for anything material. It is a fight for the playground. Just as lessons are essential for children, so is play. Unfortunately, playgrounds are disappearing, and efforts should be made to protect the existing ones. My character in the film is Raghav, while the director himself plays the role of Shiva. Producer Srinivas Babu ensured the film was made without any shortcomings, and it has shaped up beautifully thanks to the cooperation of the entire crew.”

Composer Abhinandan Kashyap shared insights about the song, while editor Pramod Talwar, cinematographer Karthik S, and actresses Pallavi Parva, Kirti Bhandari, and Posani Krishna elaborated on their roles in Begur Colony.
