Actor Vijay Kumar (Duniya Vijay) celebrated his birthday during the filming of the movie Land Lord. The film, produced by K.V. Satyaprakash and K.S. Suraj Gowda and directed by Jadesh K. Hampi, is being shot near Nelamangala on a grand set. K.V. Satyaprakash, the producer of the hit film Sarathi (starring Challenging Star Darshan), is making a comeback to production after 12 years with Land Lord under the banner of Sarathi Films. This time, his son, Suraj Gowda, has joined him in the production venture.

Directed by Jadesh K. Hampi, who previously worked on Gentleman and Gurushishyaru and wrote Katheera, Land Lord features Vijay Kumar (Duniya Vijay) in the lead role. Currently, the movie’s shooting is in full swing near Nelamangala. On the occasion of Vijay’s birthday, the team organized a celebration and press conference.

The movie is set in the 1980s and has a rural backdrop. The tagline of Land Lord is, “Not a story of rulers, but of those who endured.” Producer K.V. Satyaprakash revealed that his son, Suraj Gowda, is supporting him in this venture. The lead role played by Vijay Kumar suits the film’s theme perfectly, and Rachita Ram stars as the female lead. Vijay’s daughter, Ritanya, also plays a significant role in the movie. Swamy Gowda is handling the cinematography, Ajaneesh Loknath is composing the music, and K.M. Prakash is managing the editing. Dialogues have been written by Masti and Srikanth.

Speaking at the event, Vijay Kumar expressed his regret at not being able to celebrate his birthday with his fans this year and apologized for the same. He appreciated Jadesh’s story and said, “In my childhood, our village didn’t have many electric lights; kerosene lamps were mostly used. In this movie, my look reflects how elders in my village used to appear. Back then, there were no caste or religious divisions – people were only divided into rich and poor. I represent the poor in this movie. The producers, Satyaprakash and Suraj Gowda, are ensuring the film has everything it needs. I am happy to be working with such a talented team.”

K.V. Satyaprakash, reminiscing about his earlier production Sarathi, said, “Sarathi brought me great recognition. After listening to many scripts, I finally decided on Jadesh’s story. We began this film quickly, and my son, Suraj Gowda, is co-producing the project. I wish Duniya Vijay a happy birthday and hope for everyone’s support for this movie.”

Suraj Gowda, wishing Vijay a happy birthday, stated that two schedules of the movie have been completed, and the third schedule is underway. He added, “We plan to complete the shooting by March and release the film at the earliest.”

Dialogue writer Masti said, “This story is rooted in our land, set in the Kolar region. Jadesh is a storyteller from this soil, and the story is truly remarkable. Srikanth is co-writing the dialogues with me.”

Ritanya, Vijay’s daughter, said, “My father and I play father and daughter in this movie, just like in real life. I hope everyone supports our first collaboration.”

The press meet also saw the participation of dialogue writer Srikanth, production manager Narasimha Jalahalli, and other team members.
