The teaser of “Venkateshaya Namaha”, acted in and directed by Harish Raj, was released along with clippings of the muhurat held recently.
Speaking about the film, actor and director Harish Raj said, “The inspiration for our film Venkatesaya Namaha can be said to be the film Govindaya Namaha, in which I acted earlier. That is why we have also used the song ‘Mathe Pyarge Aagbittaite…’ We intend to use that tune again. Efforts are also underway to acquire the rights. This is a love story.
It is based on the story of Venky, alias Venkatesha, who wants to have fun without falling in love. In this film, I have played the role of a software employee. Senior actress Umashree is playing the role of my mother. Eight heroines are part of this film, and two of them are in lead roles. In addition to acting as the lead in this star-studded film, I have also taken on the responsibility of directing. I will share more information in the coming days,” said Harish Raj.
P. Janardhan, the producer of this film, said that the director narrated the comedy subject in an interesting way. The first phase of shooting has been completed.
Veteran actor Ashok said, “I was introduced to actor-director Harish Raj through the serial Dandapindagalu long ago. I am amazed at how he handles the responsibility of acting and directing at the same time. I am still afraid to direct even after my 50-year film journey. The current cinema trend has changed. Out of 200 films released every year, only a handful are successful. I am playing the role of the heroine’s father in this film.” He also sought support for the film.
Another veteran actor, Umeshanna, shared some of his experiences, saying he is very happy that senior artists are being recognized and given opportunities. “My role in this film is that of a broker, and the director has a lot of faith in my expression, which is why I got this role.”
Famous comedy actor, singer, and writer Tabla Nani said that the director first discussed the story with him and mentioned that it is suitable for the current era. Accordingly, the shooting has now begun. “I am playing the role of a film director in the movie. Initially, I said I didn’t want a small role. Then I liked the depth of the role. The improvisation on set so far is going very well.” The film’s cast, including Prakriti, Aradhana, Chitkal Biradar, Raghu Ramana Koppa, Renuka, and others, shared information about their respective roles.
The first phase of the film, produced by Sri Lakshmi Janardhana Movies, has been completed, and the second phase is scheduled to start on the 20th of this month. The film crew has planned to shoot for about 45 days.
Shivashankar is the cinematographer for this film. Music is scored by Praveen Srinivas Murthy, and Chetan Kumar and Pramod Maramente have written the lyrics.
