RISHI’S “RUDRA GARUDA PURANA” TO HIT SCREENS ON JANUARY 24

The much-awaited movie Rudra Garuda Purana, starring Rishi, who gained fame through films like Operation Alamelamma, Kavaludaari, and the popular web series Shaitan, is set to release statewide on January 24, 2025.

Initially slated for a December 27 release, the makers decided to postpone the date to allow time for the completion of post-production work.

In the film, Rishi plays the role of a police investigator. The intriguing first look has generated immense excitement among fans, who are eagerly anticipating the film’s release.

Produced by Ashwini Lohit under the banner of Ashwini Arts, the film is directed by K.S. Nandish, known for his previous work in Dear Vikram. Nandish has also written the story and screenplay, with dialogues by Raghu Niduvalli. The music is composed by KP, cinematography by Sandeep Kumar, and editing by Manu Shedgar.

Rudra Garuda Purana delves into the mysterious twists surrounding a bus accident that occurred 25 years ago, in which all its passengers perished. However, the same bus and its passengers mysteriously reappear. Addressing speculation about the film being a remake of the Tamil movie Diary, director Nandish clarified:

“I hadn’t watched Diary, but out of curiosity, our music director, who works in Chennai, compared the two and confirmed that our film is completely original. There is no connection to Tamil films—this is a purely Kannada self-made project.”

The film stars Priyanka Kumar as the heroine, alongside a talented ensemble cast, including Vinod Alva, Avinash, Shivraj KR Pete, Giri, Ridvi, S. Sridhar, Ashwini Gowda, Ram Pawan, Vamshi, Akarsh, Joseph, Prabhakar, Gautham Mysore, Snake Shyam, Ranganath Bhardwaj, and comedy favorites Jagappa and Prasanna Handrangi.
