The song Akashada Neeli Eddu, written by Kaviraj and sung by Naveen Sajju for the film Dheera Bhagat Roy, was recently released at a crowded event by popular actor Ninasam Satish. The song features music composed by Poornchandra Tejaswi.
After the release of the song, Satish Ninasam spoke about the film, saying, “This may be a newcomer project, but everyone involved here is experienced. The people behind this film have seen hardships, endured struggles in life, and faced losses. I am one of them. Many people ask me why I don’t take on films like this, but I have never come across stories like this one. I’m also waiting to make such a film. I need a good director, and if I find a good technician, I will definitely make a film,” he added.
In this film, for the first time in Kannada cinema, the struggles of a community are told boldly. There is a certain joy in building a struggle through words and visuals, and there should be more films like this, Satish emphasized.
Kaviraj, who wrote the lyrics for the song, shared his thoughts on the film and its message: “In our society, one class works hard while another class enjoys the benefits of happiness. One class is dedicated to labor, while the other is dedicated to enjoying life. We must oppose this imbalance in every way possible. Dr. Ambedkar showed us a way forward. We need to ask ourselves how far we have progressed along that path, how much we’ve achieved, and whether their dreams have been realized. We haven’t even touched the equality that they envisioned. We are still going forward with hands that pull us back, rather than with hands that push us forward. This film is a powerful medium to change people’s minds. We have often wondered why films like Asuran and Karnan aren’t made here. This film is the answer to that. Writing the songs for this film was a joyous experience, and I was thrilled to hear the lines I wrote. We hope that at least one person will stand up against tyranny after watching this film.”
Music director Poornchandra Tejaswi expressed his excitement about the lyrics, saying, “When Kaviraj wrote the lyrics, I was thrilled. Each line has a theme, a story, and a lot of hard work has gone into it. Everyone who heard the song was happy, and they said that it’s a song made by the whole team together.”
Dheera Bhagat Roy is written and directed by Karnan. Rakesh Dalwai plays the lead role in the film, with Sucharita playing the heroine. The film also features Sarath Lohitswa, Ninasam Aswath, Praveen Gowda, K.M. Sandesh, Muroli, and others in supporting roles. The film boasts music by Poornchandra Tejaswi and cinematography by Selpam John. Dheera Bhagat Roy is produced by White Lotus Entertainment and Shree Om Cine Entertainers.
