Renowned music director of Chandanavana, Ajaneesh Loknath, who has captivated music lovers with his hit songs, has reached a significant milestone in his career. Although he has been in the film industry for 21 years, he has spent over a decade as an independent music director. Ajaneesh Loknath has now achieved the milestone of composing music for 50 films.
The film Kantara (2022) marked a major achievement in Ajaneesh Loknath’s career. The movie received widespread acclaim not only from Karnataka’s movie enthusiasts but also from international audiences. Recently, Kantara won a National Award. Ajaneesh Loknath has also composed music for upcoming Kannada films Max, Bagheera, and UI.
“It has been 21 years since I began my journey in cinema. I started in 2003 as a keyboard player and began composing music for small films in 2005. Initially, my work went unreleased, and I struggled to find good projects. Over time, I gained recognition, and my commercial success began with the film Kirik Party,” said Ajaneesh Loknath.
“My dream has always been to work in movies. I approach my work from a film perspective rather than just as a music director. I consider the viewpoints of directors, producers, technicians, and artists alongside my own. My goal is to create at least one or two hit songs from each movie.”
“My first music teacher was my father, from whom I learned the basics of music. K. Kalyan is like a godfather in cinema to me. When I first arrived in Bangalore, Guru K. Kalyan encouraged me and let me stay at his house for a year. Although I initially lacked experience in film music, I gained valuable insights during that time. Kalyan remains my mentor. Despite working hard for ten years, my films were not initially released.”
“Bobby has been my backbone for commercial matters since 2006. She supports me not only in music but also in all professional aspects. She ensures everything is managed efficiently and will continue to do so in the future. Even though she is a music director herself, she stands by me and helps maintain my success ratio,” Ajaneesh Loknath added.
Ajaneesh Loknath and C.R. Bobby have both made significant contributions to the field of music. Bobby has now ventured into film production with the launch of Abbs Studios. Their first production, Just Married, stars Shine Shetty and Ankita Amar in lead roles.
