The iconic dialogue “Thale Bachkoli Powder Hakkolli,” made famous by renowned actor Rangayana Raghu, now with the title Powder upcoming Kannada film, produced by the prestigious KRG Studios in association with TVF Motion Pictures.

Powder is slated for release on August 23. In anticipation, the film’s cast and crew gathered to discuss the project with the media. While director Janardhan Chikkanna was absent, actors Diganth, Dhanya Ramkumar, Sharmila Mandre, and Anirudh Acharya were present to engage with the press.

Karthik Gowda, speaking at the event, mentioned, “The film will be released in over 100 theaters, including Triveni, on August 23. Delaying the release was a good decision. With the extra week, we have more time to promote the film.”

Powder is known to revolve around drugs, but Karthik clarified, “This film is different from what you might expect. It’s not just a drug film or a message-driven movie about drugs. Instead, it’s a comedic take on what happens when a drug pack goes missing. There’s no logic here—it’s pure entertainment.”

Diganth expressed his enthusiasm for the film, stating, “This role is unlike anything I’ve done before. It was truly satisfying. There’s no heroism—just simple characters, each with their own stories. If this movie succeeds, it will give me the confidence to take on more diverse roles in the future.”

Both Dhanya Ramkumar and Sharmila Mandre shared their excitement about being part of the film, highlighting their delight in being cast in such unique roles.
