Dhuniya Vijay, also known as Vijay Kumar (a name given by his mother), is celebrating the success of his latest film, Bheema. The first few days of box office collections have brought him great joy as the film continues to draw packed houses across 400 theaters in Karnataka.

While it’s difficult to quantify the film’s success in crores of rupees, the full theaters are a clear testament to Bheema’s popularity.

Interestingly, the focus isn’t just on the revenue Bheema is generating. Vijay Kumar has announced his next project, which will be directed by his assistant director, Thambi. Introducing his writers and co-directors, Vijay Kumar expressed confidence in their abilities to direct. He remarked, “My next film will be with Thambi. When those who direct me know me well, it’s much easier to collaborate.”

In a brief conversation with this journalist, Dhuniya Vijay shared his concern about the impact of his film Bheema. He mentioned that while it’s challenging to eliminate drug use among youths due to the scale of the issue and the lack of support from decision-makers, the film has nevertheless set a new trend. He is even happier with this success than he was with his debut film Salaga.

Vijay Kumar is known for spotting talent, and this time he has cast several first-time actors in Bheema. Many of these actors are still completing their studies, and he made a heartfelt appeal to them to finish their education. “Otherwise, I’ll be blamed,” he joked.

For the first time, Vijay Kumar appeared on stage with a notepad, as he wanted to personally thank everyone who contributed to the success of Bheema.

Music composer Charan Raj, who played a significant role in the film’s success, humbly credited his achievements to Vijay Kumar’s guidance.

Vijay Kumar, who directed and starred in Bheema, invited his co-actors Dragon Manju, Anthony, Jolly Jack, Chandru, Susmitha, Puneeth, Surya, Jayasoorya, Sukesh, Rich Kid, Mohammad John, Anush, Loki (alias Shunti), Mani, Alwyn, Bhargav, Akash, Charan, Madesh, Prema, Priya S., Aswini, Nayana Sood, Chetana Prasad, and others to join the celebration.

Producers Krishna Sarthak and Jagadeesh, brimming with happiness, expressed their satisfaction with the terrific work led by Vijay Kumar.

With two successful films, Salaga and Bheema, under his belt as a director, here’s hoping that Vijay Kumar achieves a hat trick in his directorial career.
