The Pan India film “The Present” began its production at Kanteerava Studio, with heavyweight politician and former MP L. Shivarame Gowda giving the clapboard for his son-in-law Rajeev Rathod’s film, directed by Shivapoorna.

“The Present is significant,” disclosed director Shivapoorna while addressing the media and launching the Global Entertainment Network (GEN) company. “We have the past and future coming in three parts,” he added. GEN has many innovative ideas for the coming days.

National award-winning farmer Ramesh from Tumkur switched on the camera for the first shot, and dynamic police officer R. Naveen Kumar was the chief guest at the event.

“This is a mythological film with a screenplay that took a year to prepare. It tells the tale of an ‘Atma’ that experiences three births. We are currently depicting the present scenario, with the past and future to follow. It is an imaginative story, and the audience will definitely find something new,” said the confident director Shivapoorna.

The presence of a farmer at the muhurat event was symbolic. The film features a farmer’s children. Filming will take place in Bengaluru and later in Kerala for some portions. Siddi is composing the music. The renowned Telugu cinematographer Prasad Pulicharlia is making his debut in Kannada cinema, bringing his expertise to the project. We plan to release the film during Christmas in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam languages, aiming to conquer theaters. We also have artists from various languages.

Shivapoorna also spoke about GEN’s future plans, including satellite channels, fashion shows, and digital services.

Rajeev Rathod plays the lead role, with Diya, Manasa Gowda, and Baby Aradhya present at the film’s launch. The cast also includes Robert, Avinash, Sahana, Madhuri Reddy, Asha, Sridhar, Samruddi, Dubai Shaurya, Arun, Rafeek, Mamata Manjesh Gowda, and others.

A ramp walk was held as part of the promotional activities for GEN, and the title of the film, “The Present,” was unveiled.
