Lately, the Kannada cinema industry has been embracing more topical subjects that resonate with audiences of all ages. One such film is “Grey Games,” which delves into the world of online gaming, posing a significant concern for the younger generation.

The trailer launch of “Grey Games” saw veteran producer, distributor, and former KFCC President S A Chinne Gowda brimming with pride as his grandson, Jai, takes center stage alongside Ishita Singh. Jai, the son of Veena and the grandson of SA Chinne Gowda, is making waves in representing the youth in this film, with Veena being the daughter of SA Chinne Gowda and the sister of well-known actors Vijay Raghavendra and Sri Murali.

Addressing the gathering, SA Chinne Gowda reminisced about his journey, highlighting his steadfastness in not leveraging influence when producer Anand Mugad approached him for the call sheet of his first son, Vijay Raghavendra. He stood firm in advocating for Jai to take on another pivotal role representing the younger generation. The producers and director of “Grey Games” were astounded by Jai’s experience and professionalism, making his involvement in the film a seamless process. It was only at the onset of the shoot that Chinne Gowda revealed Jai’s familial connection.

Sri Murali, a prominent figure in Kannada cinema, expressed his joy for Jai’s endeavor, emphasizing the importance of proper training and learning in the industry. He commended Jai for not merely relying on his family background but actively seeking education and training before stepping in front of the camera. Sri Murali also praised his elder brother, Vijay Raghavendra, for his involvement in the film.

“Grey Games,” slated for release on May 10th, is produced by Anand Mugad, directed by Gangadhar Salimath of the award-winning “Ayana” fame, and stars Vijay Raghavendra. The trailer of the film has been released by Anand Audio.

Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar graced the occasion to extend her wishes to her close relatives associated with the film. Veena, the mother of debut actor Jai, also shared her blessings for her son and elder brother Vijay Raghavendra.

The ensemble cast includes Shruti Prakash, Bhavana Rao, Ishita, Ravi Bhatt, Aparna Vastare, and others. The highly anticipated film is set to hit the screens on May 10.

Reflecting on the film, director Gangadhar Salimath described it as a narrative centered around a mind game, a rare storyline in Kannada cinema. Having garnered critical acclaim at the Goa International Film Festival, the film is poised for its theatrical release next week. Salimath expressed gratitude to the entire cast and crew for their dedication and hard work in bringing the project to fruition.

In his address, actor Jai expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and shed light on his role in the film. Actresses Bhavana Rao and Ishita also shared their insights into “Grey Games,” underscoring its significance in contemporary cinema.
