At the 14th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival, Rakshit Tirthahalli’s film “Thimmana Mottegalu” received the “Honorable Jury Mention Award”. The film team received the award at the ceremony held in Delhi on April 30. “Thimmana Mottegalu” is a story based on the book “Kadin Nentaru” written by the director himself. Adarsh Iyengar produces the film under the banner of Sri Krishna Productions.
Director of ‘Hombanna’ in 2016 and ‘Enta Kathe Maaraya’, Rakshit Thirthahalli’s collection of stories ‘Kadina Nentaru’ is the inspiration for ‘Thimmana Mottegalu’—focusing on the Western Ghats lifestyle and current situations.
