Sanju Weds Geetha, which was released a decade ago under the directorship of Nagasekhar, renowned for delivering wonderful love stories to the Kannada film industry, garnered popularity due to its storyline and songs.
Now, Nagasekhar has unveiled another love saga under the same title, with Srinagar Kitty and Rachita Ram portraying the lead roles, replacing Ramya. Currently, the shooting and editing of the film’s three stages have been completed, and on the auspicious day of Ugadi, dubbing commenced at Sadhu Kokila’s loop studio.
Speaking on the occasion, director Nagasekhar attributed the grandeur of the film to the producers’ cooperation. After wrapping up the initial phase of shooting in Bangalore, we embarked on a 15-day shoot in Switzerland, covering eleven picturesque locations. The third phase has already been completed, and we are set to commence the fourth phase this Friday. The Shidlaghat silk market holds significant importance in our narrative; our film depicts the struggle of two lovers striving to secure a fair price for our silk yarn. I conceptualized this movie to portray our soil’s struggle, rather than presenting an artificial love story.
The songs stand out as the highlight of our film, captivating everyone who listens to them. Anand Audio acquired the rights at the commencement of the film. Discussions are underway with Lahari regarding the inclusion of a song. Our film thrives without the need for controversy or extensive promotion. Kitty and Rachu deliver commendable performances. We are committed to delivering the film by June, with the first copy expected by the end of May.
Srinagar Kitty emphasized the importance of dialogues in the film, prompting an early start to the dubbing process. He expressed confidence in the melodious songs, anticipating yet another enchanting love journey.
Producer Chalavadi Kumar disclosed that the shooting spanned 40 days, progressing smoothly without encountering any disruptions. Plans are underway to launch the audio in Hassan.

Music director Sridhara V. Sambhram enlisted Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal, and Mangli to lend their voices to the beautiful tunes. Ragini, Chetan Chandra, Rangayana Raghu, and Sadhu Kokila assume special roles in Sanju Weds Geetha 2.
