The only minister strongly connected from cinema industry Madhu Bangarappa after defeating his brother Kumar Bangarappa in Soraba Assembly constituency got the portfolio of Education in the recently formed Siddaramaiah, Karnataka chief minister cabinet.
Madhu Bangarappa, proprietor of Akash Audio, has an unfinished film in his kitty – Devi in which he plays hero but that has stalled since 2010.
Now after taking over the ministerial berth the first cinema environment he came into contact with is ‘Ghost’ Kannada cinema that stars Karunada Chakravarthy Dr Shivarajakumar – his brother in law.
Madhu Bangarappa education minister today also met doyen writer Prof Baraguru Ramachandrappa for correction in the educational books.
But his first film event was ‘Ghost’ sets. He spent a few minutes watching the shots on the computer, spoke to producer Sandesh Nagaraj and appeared for photographs.
Ghost is in the direction of popular MG Srinivas and at the set erected at Chamrajpet Police ground the education minister Madhu Bangarappa visited. He wished the entire team good success for their venture.
