Despite being a poignant story of Vishwas, who is physically challenged (he has no hands), there is stunning narration from the first-time director Rajakumar. Narrating the 9 international awards and 21 national awards that Vishwas’s life sketch has garnered requires a lot of patience and perseverance. Additionally, the beauty of ‘Arabbie’ lies in the fact that, for the first time, the former IPS officer Annamalai appeared in this film.

Director Rajkumar tells the story of a specially spirited young man named Vishwas, who made a name for himself at the national level by demonstrating that nothing is impossible if one has the will to achieve, and even disability cannot be a hindrance, through the film ‘Arabbie’.

With 18 years of work experience as an assistant and associate director in the Kannada filmdom, Director Rajakumar has depicted Vishwas’s achievements, illustrating how he wins with persistence and self-confidence. Annamalai plays the role of a swimming coach who inspires the hero, while the hero’s girlfriend also serves as a backbone. The central concept of the movie ‘Arabbie’ revolves around whether Vishwas finally achieves what he desires.

Chetan CS, through Sri Vijaya Raghavendra Productions, produced this film. Recently, the film’s trailer was released by Film Chamber President N.M. Suresh. Kambada Rangaiah, of Sarigamapa fame, composed the music for the film, and Anand Dindwara handled the camera work.

Director Rajakumar states that the film was shot in 32 days in Udupi, the Arabian Sea, and other locales. Seeing Vishwas in a show, we thought, why not make a film on him? We approached Vishwas first, then we brought in Annamalai for the role of the coach, who acted without receiving any remuneration. Director Rajakumar mentions that the film is ready for release.

Vishwas, an internationally acclaimed actor who is physically handicapped, says he did not immediately accept the movie offer. Annamalai also heard about me and agreed. I have appeared as a swimmer in the film. The film also depicts how to express anger towards God and how to perform daily tasks, as well as how society views me. So far, I have won several awards. However, obtaining an artificial hand poses restrictions, as the 25 years of suffering have not been supportive.

Kambada Rangaiah, the music composer for two songs, says Hamsalekha is his inspiration. Although he is a singer, he did not sing any songs for the film but invited Rajesh Krishnan and Chandan Shetty for only two songs in the film.

The chief guests at the event were Film Chamber President NM Suresh, Vice President Venkatesh, Yeshavantpur Circle Inspector Ajay Sarathi, Nagendra Aras, and Vijay Chendur.

The message of this film is that if our society doesn’t merely pity special minds like Vishwas but offers them opportunities according to their talents, they will achieve great things.
