AKANKSH BARAGURU WINS AWARD

Akanksh Baraguru, the young and handsome grandson of Dr. Baraguru Ramachandrappa, has won the prestigious award for Best Child Actor at the Dubai International Film Festival for his role in the movie “Chinnara Chandra.” Directed by the highly respected Dr. Baraguru Ramachandrappa himself, this film was produced by G.N. Govindaraju (Rajasekhar). “Chinnara Chandra” clinched the Best Children’s Film Award at the Dubai International Film Festival. It’s worth noting that prior to this, Akanksh Baraguru had acted in the films “Bayalada Bheemanna,” “Bhagirathi,” and “Mother Kasturaba Gandhi.”

Based on Baraguru’s novel “Adagolajji,” the film “Chinnara Chandra” was also selected for screening at the Allahabad and Melbourne International Film Festivals. It’s a poignant portrayal that underscores the significance of education, with this message being conveyed through the innocence of children. Additionally, the film advocates for the establishment of equality and harmony in society. Notably, it features a special episode where children listen to folk tales narrated by Adagolajji and advocate for the necessity of wholesome cinema.

The cast includes Akanksh Baragaru, Nikshep, Shadja, Ishaan, Abhinavnag, Sundararaju, Rekha, Vatsala Mohan, Radha Ramachandra, Sundararaja Arasu, Raghav, Rajappa Dalwai, Hansa, Venkataraju, and Mysore Manjula. “Chinnara Chandra” boasts cinematography by Nagaraja Advani, editing by Suresh Arasu, music direction by Shamita Malnad, and co-direction by Natraja Shivu and Praveen.
