Throughout his 17-year film career, Diganth has yet to venture into the realm of action-suspense thrillers. Enter ‘Marigold,’ a film that demanded an extra dose of energy and enthusiasm from the seasoned actor. Teaming up with Sangeetha Sringeri, the recent second runner-up of Big Boss 10 season, Diganth takes on this exhilarating challenge.
Produced by Raghuvardhan under the Creations banner, the teaser for “Mari Gold” was unveiled at the SRV Theater in Malleswaram.
“Although I have directed several films such as Timmarayi, Kausalya, and Gunavantha, this marks my first foray into film production,” expressed debutant producer Raghuvardhan. “The captivating storyline presented by Raghavendra Naik compelled me to take this leap, making it his directorial debut.”
The collaboration between Diganth and Sangeetha surpassed expectations, promising a captivating cinematic experience. “We aim to release the film in the second or third week of the upcoming month,” revealed Diganth.
Director Raghavendra M. Naik shared insights into the film’s narrative, which revolves around four boys embarking on a mission to sell Mari Gold Biscuits. Shot across various locales including Chitradurga, Bangalore, and Sakaleshpur, the film faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it is now primed for release, with teasers igniting excitement among audiences. Emphasizing pure entertainment, the film endeavors to showcase Diganth in a new light, blending drama and thrills seamlessly.
Acknowledging the producer’s unwavering support, Diganth commended Raghavendra Naik’s vision, affirming his portrayal as an intelligent scammer in the film. Actress Sangeeta Sringeri expressed her delight at the opportunity, fulfilling a childhood dream of working alongside Diganth. Cinematographer Chandrasekhar’s meticulous craftsmanship further enhances the film’s visual appeal.
Artist Vajrang Shetty shared his journey to the project, spurred by a recommendation from fellow actor Yash Shetty, amidst the challenges posed by the pandemic. With a unique approach to dialogue, courtesy of writer Raghu Nidavalli, the screenplay reflects real-life developments. Music director Veer Samarth teased a thrilling soundtrack, with contributions from Yogaraj Bhatt, Vijay Bharamasagar, and Kaviraj.
Cinematographer Chandrasekhar, known for his past collaborations with producer Raghuvardhan, embraced the opportunity to delve into new genres. The star-studded cast, including Diganth Manchale, Sangeet Sringeri, and others, promises an unforgettable cinematic experience.
