Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, accompanied by Bairathi Suresh, HM Revanna, and others, took a brief break from the state budget meeting to attend the unveiling ceremony of RC Studios and the release of five film titles at Lalith Ashok Hotel.
The Chief Minister made a stylish appearance, choosing not to comment on the significant occasion, showcasing director and producer R Chandru’s visionary initiatives.
R Chandru etched his name in Kannada cinema history by launching five film titles and introducing his production house, ‘RC Studios.’
The films – FATHER, DOG, POK, SRI RAMA BAANA, KABZA 2 – were announced simultaneously, a groundbreaking move in the history of Kannada cinema. Chandru aims to bring all five films to the silver screen within the year.
To support Chandru’s vision, Anand Pandit from Mumbai, HM Revanna, superstar Upendra, Manjunath Hegde, Ramachandra Gowda, Alankar Pandian, Jack Manjunath, and Darling Krishna shared the stage. Manjunath M, in his inaugural speech, revealed the challenges and triumphs of Chandru’s journey from Keshavara near Chikkaballapura to Bengaluru with just Rs.100 in his pocket.
Superstar Upendra, in his heartfelt address at the film launch and production banner unveiling, emphasized the importance of a positive mindset in undertaking such massive film projects. He commended Chandru’s capability to release all five films simultaneously and expressed his wish for Chandru to illuminate the Kannada cinema industry.
Responding to critics, Chandru asserted his belief in ‘Yogyathe’ over ‘Yoga’ and his dedication to hard work. Despite the setback of Kabza at the box office, he expressed resilience and determination. Upendra, echoing his sentiments, praised Chandru’s contribution, highlighting his Rs.20 crore tax payment from the Kabza film.
Chandru, addressing detractors, emphasized that launching his banner in his hometown is a testament to his roots. He asserted that those who speak ill of him should recognize his courage and commitment to the film industry. Chandru concluded by acknowledging the strength of the media and expressing his unwavering belief in its support.
