Envision a college exclusively for ‘Just Pass’ students! This is the unique concept explored in the latest Kannada film. ‘Just Pass’ serves as an educational institution for those who have achieved a score of 35 out of 100, and this innovative idea originates from the visionary director of Parasanga, KM Raghu, associated with Dodhatti Boregowda Films.

Director Raghu’s idea resonated strongly with producers KV Sridhar and KV Shashidhar, who, like many, were ‘just pass’ students themselves. When Raghu approached seasoned actor Rangayana Raghu for the pivotal role of the principal in the film, Rangayana Raghu revealed that he, too, had been a ‘just pass’ student during his school and college days.

Speaking at the teaser launch event at MMB Legacy, Director Raghu, who carefully curated his Rs. 5 crore project, emphasized the importance of today’s budding actors learning punctuality and adopting positive attitudes from their seniors. Though Raghu may have seemed like a lecturer at one point, he is, in fact, a director with unique and forward-thinking ideas. In the film, he questions the relevance of admitting only high-scoring students with scores of 90 or more, aiming for a perfect 100 percent result. Instead, he advocates for admitting ‘just pass’ students and providing them with a transformative experience. This is precisely the narrative depicted in the film ‘Just Pass.’ Raghu has conceptualized the ‘Just Pass’ chariot, and he believes it is the collective responsibility of the team members and the media to propel this chariot forward.

Producer Shashidhar, after evaluating numerous stories, found this concept compelling. Through auditions, he carefully selected the cast, and his elder brother, Sridhar, is dedicated to realizing the dream of his brother, ensuring the film achieves success.

The music director, Harshavardhana Raj, now on his eighth film, collaborated with dialogue writer Raghu Niduvalli to finalize the script. Pramod Maravanthe contributed a song to the film.

In a first-time role, the esteemed character actor Rangayana Raghu portrays the college principal. Delighted with the film’s concept and production process, he even suggested the traditional attire for his character.

Lead actor Sri drew inspiration from his own life for the main role, and cinematographer Sujay Kumar, along with co-actors Govinde Gowda, Pranathi, and Sri Bhavya, expressed satisfaction with their experience working on this film.
