Sandy Master, the dynamic force behind Tamil film Vijay’s ‘Leo,’ now graces the Kannada film industry in the role of a transgender character in ‘Roji,’ directed by Shoonya of Head Bush.

The ‘Roji’ team recently addressed the media to introduce Sandy’s transgender character. Sandy Master, renowned choreographer and the Andal character in ‘Roji,’ revealed during the press conference that he intentionally chose the challenging yet significant role of a transgender individual. Drawing from his experience in similar portrayals on television, Sandy expressed that emoting for this role, even with makeup, was not a challenge. The overall work atmosphere was highly conducive to his performance. Meanwhile, Sandy is set to showcase his dancing prowess alongside Yogi in a song for the film ‘Roji.’

Post the success of the Tamil film ‘Leo,’ Sandy shared that he has received several offers in Telugu and Tamil. He is following in the footsteps of his seniors Prabhu Deva and Lawerence as he progresses in his career.

Director Shoonya, an introvert by nature, described ‘Roji’ as a gangster cinema that completed a 15-day shoot in locations like Mohan B Kere. Having already spent Rs.2.5 crores, Shoonya anticipates unveiling a special three-minute trailer introducing the characters and storyline. The later stages of the film’s shooting will see the inclusion of renowned Telugu and Tamil actors.

Yogi expressed his excitement about Sandy Master joining the ‘Roji’ team, stating that Leo’s recent success has only added to the film’s appeal. He commended the powerful dialogue by Manju Masthi and promised a treat with the seven-day trailer shoot. Yogi also praised director Shoonya’s sensibilities, acknowledging his role in over 25 films.

Manju Masthi, eagerly awaiting the opportunity to write dialogues for Yogi after a 12-year acquaintance, praised the film’s casting and Director Shoonya’s narrative twists. Ace composer Gurukiran, who is working on the music, shared his enthusiasm for the project, emphasizing the unique feel captured in the upcoming trailer. Gurukiran revealed that there are four songs in the film, each tailored to Director Shoonya’s specific vision.

Noted editor Harish Komme explained that the film’s trailer, exceeding three minutes, offers a glimpse into its distinctive shade. This marks his third venture into the gangster film genre.

DY Rajesh and co-producer DY Vinod expressed gratitude to the media for their continued support of the film ‘Roji’ during the media meeting.
