Renowned director Jayathirtha, known for his impactful films such as Olave Mandhara, Beautiful Manasugalu, Bell Bottom, and Banaraz, has ventured into the realm of action with his latest project, ‘Kaiva,’ featuring Dhanveerrah and Megha Shetty in pivotal roles.

Kaiva delves into a real-life incident from 1983, showcasing the Karaga festival, the RTO scam, the Gangagaram Building crash on September 12, 1983, and the screening time of Dr. Rajakumar’s ‘Bhakta Prahallada’ at Kapali Theater.

The lead role in ‘Kaiva’ is portrayed by the striking Dhanveerrah Gowda, a charismatic member of the Tigalara community. The film sheds light on the rowdy activities in Tigalarapalya, a subject Jayathirtha discovered while conversing with a mortuary attendant in a government hospital.

During the unveiling of the ‘Kaiva’ video and action teaser, Abhishek Ambareesh extended his best wishes to his colleague Dhanveerrah, emphasizing that the teaser conveys the essence of the film. Abhishek Ambareesh shared his recent experiences, having been with Doddoru–Darshan for the trailer launch of his film ‘Bad Manners’ and now supporting his contemporary hero, Dhanveerrah.

The film was shot in a record 48 days, receiving praise from producers Ravindra Kumar (abroad), Balakrishna, and Krishna for Jayathirtha’s exceptional work. ‘Kaiva’ is a high-budget production, promising a fourfold return on investment for cinema-goers.

Dinakar Thoogudeepa, in a significant role, acknowledged the challenge of being compared to his father, Thoogudeepa Srinivas, expressing humility about his acting abilities. He credited Jayathirtha for entrusting him with the role of an underworld don, emphasizing the importance of Dhanveerrah’s dedication to his craft.

Megha Shetty, portraying a pivotal role in the film, expressed gratitude for the opportunity, citing the goddess Draupadamma as the reason behind her involvement in this career-defining project.

The film features dialogues penned by Raghu Niduvalli, with Raghu Shivamogga, Ramesh Indira, Dinakar Thoogudeepa, and others comprising the cast. Ajaneesh Loknath is responsible for the music, while Shweta Prasad handles the cinematography. ‘Kaiva,’ with an ‘A’ certificate, is set to hit the silver screen in December.
