KARTHIK RAJU’S DEBUT IN MULTILINGUAL THRILLER ‘ATHARVA’

Prominent Kannada film producer Vizak Raju, known for movies like ‘Mane Devru,’ ‘Halunda Thavaru,’ and ‘Karulina Koogu,’ is introducing his son, Karthik Raju, in the lead role of ‘Atharva.’ This film is a multi-lingual production, catering to audiences in four different languages.

During his first interaction with the Kannada media, Karthik Raju shared that it had always been his father’s dream for him to debut in Kannada cinema. He previously had a cameo appearance in Power star Puneeth Rajakumar’s film ‘Veera Kannadiga.’ Now, he is thrilled to be part of a suspense thriller directed by Mahesh Reddy. Karthik Raju expressed his excitement, mentioning that a talented team has put their efforts into this project, and they are all set for a November release. Besides Kannada, Karthik Raju has also acted in Telugu films such as ‘Tippu,’ ‘Operation Gold Fish,’ and ‘Kausalya Krishnamurthy.’

Mahesh Reddy, making his directorial debut after working in the software field and assisting prominent directors, explained that the film focuses on the investigative aspect of the police department. It sheds light on the functioning of the clues department within the police force. Mahesh Reddy emphasized that this particular aspect has not been explored much in previous films, and he is passionate about delving into it. Interestingly, ‘Atharva’ has been shot simultaneously in both Kannada and Telugu.

The cast of the film includes Simran in the role of a journalist, with producer Subash Notalapaati, Vizak Raju, distributor Marsh Suresh, and others present during the media briefing.

Apart from Karthik Raju and Simran Chaudhary, the movie features Aravind Krishna, Gagan Vihari, Marimuthu, Kabir Duhan Singh, Ayraa Jain, Kiran Macha, Vijaya Rama Raju, and others in key roles.

Subhash Nuthalapati, the producer of the film, has brought in Sricharan Pakala for the music, Charan Madhavaneni for cinematography, and SB Uddhav for film editing.
