Director Manju Maskal Matti makes a strong comeback after a nine-year hiatus and returns to production after a twelve-year absence by mustering the courage and assembling producers from various states.

The latest offering from MMM (abbreviated for the director) is ‘Varahachakram,’ carrying the tagline ‘live and let live.’ He has enlisted the talents of seasoned actor Prema for a prominent role. Having learned valuable lessons from the setbacks of ‘Yugapurusha’ and ‘Gowri Putra,’ the talkative director MMM places high hopes on this film. Dr. V Nagendra Prasad, credited with over 3000 songs in his career, handles dialogues, lyrics, and music composition, further enhancing MMM’s project.

Upon the wise counsel of senior PRO Nagendra, the director meticulously crafted a motion poster and a quick character visual recap, which received unanimous approval. “Content and Contact” are the film’s paramount strengths, as emphasized by MMM. He made his inaugural media appearance for ‘Varahachakram’ donning the guise of a judge PA, creating a unique first impression. This time, his friends from Chennai, Patna, and Mysuru are investing in his forte, which is direction.

The primary objective of ‘Varahachakram’ is to raise awareness about prevailing social issues and, to the extent possible, restore social order through this mass medium.

The charismatic Arjun Dev returns to the screen following ‘Yugapurusha,’ taking on a substantial role alongside his friends Raana, Imran Sharief, Aryan, and Pratik Gowda.

While the film features four heroines, the esteemed Prema occupies the central role, with the addition of the dialogue king Saikumar. Sarath Kumar serves as the cinematographer, while Bhargav handles the editing.

A moment of great joy for the beloved and talented writer, Dr. V Nagendra Prasad, is when he commenced his career in the late ’90s with ‘Gagina Mane,’ directed by KV Jayaram, in which Prema played the lead. Today, he is writing dialogues for the senior actor Prema and composing music for the same film, allocating two months exclusively for crafting the lyrics.

Prema, a veteran known for her memorable roles, has become highly selective in recent times when choosing her projects. After listening to the comprehensive narration by director MMM, she found her role challenging and its significance compelling, prompting her to accept the offer.

Arjun Dev, the dashing lead actor, describes the film’s script as a blend of beauty and strength, highlighting the incorporation of fresh elements. The cast includes Shashi, Chetan, Hariharan, Shobharaj, Chi Gurudut, and the director himself in a minor role, each contributing their unique talents to various characters.

Production of ‘Varahachakram’ is a collaboration between Manvanthari Movie Makers, Lavanya Groups, and the partnership of Nagabhushan M Rao, Manjunath C Gowdru, and KS Jai Suresh. Filming is set to take place in various locations, including Bengaluru, Nelluru, Pollachchi, Bhatkal, Hiriyuru, among others.
