The acting arena welcomes another notable director’s offspring, specifically Atharva, the first son of the renowned director BN Vijayakumar, known for his work in the film “Gejje Nada.” Atharva is taking on the lead role in the movie “Tales of Mahanagara.”
The film’s team recently made their inaugural appearance in front of the media. Director Vijayakumar, a seasoned veteran, stepped in as a crucial contributor to his son’s acting debut, partnering with his friend Dharmendra Rao. What commenced in 2020, despite facing numerous challenges, will be presented to the audience on September 15. This project materialized due to its unique storyline and the involvement of talented young individuals, prompting Vijayakumar to invest in the film.
Kiran, a BE graduate, had approached several producers to finance the movie based on the story crafted by newcomer Atharva. Eventually, it became a home production project for Atharva. Kiran, who has been involved in nearly fifty events after completing engineering, expressed confidence in the film’s content. The movie explores three distinct themes: sleep disorders, the arrival of Northeastern culture in Bengaluru leading to romantic encounters, and the journey of a method artist.
Venkatesh, popularly recognized as ‘Jhende’ from a TV series, portrays the role of a negative-shaded police officer. This film marks the realization of Atharva’s long-standing dreams.
Ramola, whose appearance aligns with a North Indian aesthetic, was a fitting choice for her role, which necessitated such characteristics. The lovely Ramona gained popularity for her antagonist role in the mega television series ‘Kannadati.’
Anoop, a radio jockey for the past three years and an NSD graduate, embodies the character related to sleep disorders in the movie. Nagaraj, a newcomer, makes his debut in this film. Siddarth Parashar is responsible for the film’s music.
The film’s editor, Pradeep, affirms that the movie encompasses elements of romance, drama, and action. The proprietor of Mama’s Feast eagerly signed on as a brand partner due to the film’s title, which closely aligns with the ideals of his company.
