‘Fighter’ holds a strong connection to action hero Vinod Prabhakar due to his father, Tiger Prabhakar, a prominent figure in over 400 South Indian language films. Tiger Prabhakar made a significant impact in the cinema realm as a ‘Fighter’ and continued to excel in the action director domain until his passing. Now, under Nutan Umesh’s direction, the title ‘Fighter’ finds its place with Mari Tiger Vinod Prabhakar, a remarkable coincidence.

The journey of ‘Fighter’ commenced well before the extended closure of the cinema industry due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The production faced delays lasting more than two years. The film’s initiation was marked by the involvement of the renowned star Darshan, who shares a profound bond with Vinod Prabhakar akin to that of brothers. Fans eagerly anticipate the release after witnessing the completion of post-production tasks.

‘Fighter’ boasts three action directors, notably Thriller Manju, who collaborated on 36 films with Vinod Prabhakar’s father, Tiger Prabhakar. While Thriller Manju helmed three action sequences, Vinod and Ganesh each contributed one. Thriller Manju, inspired by Vinod Prabhakar’s exceptional qualities and work ethic, was impressed by his willingness to embrace any action challenge.

The teaser launch of ‘Fighter’ was graced by producer Somanna, also known as Somashekhar, whose father Krishnappa, an agriculturist, partook in the event with evident delight. Somanna, a candid figure in the cinema industry, attributes significant importance to his father’s role in his life. Director Nutan Umesh underscores the pivotal role fathers play in overcoming life’s struggles.

In a touching display of mother-son sentiment, veteran actor Nirosha makes her return to Kannada cinema. During the teaser release event, Vinod Prabhakar invited Nirosha on stage and assisted her in delivering lines in Kannada, a heartwarming moment.

Vinod Prabhakar portrays Mohak, a character driven to fight for various societal causes. The film unveils the reasons behind his high-stakes endeavors in the final 20 minutes. His memories of his father, Tiger Prabhakar, who exposed him to footage of lions, tigers, and elephants during his childhood, serve as inspiration. For the sake of ‘Fighter’s’ release, Vinod Prabhakar postponed his home production ‘Lankasura’. His wife, Smt Nisha, extended warm hospitality to the event attendees.

Nirosha, the seasoned actor, expressed her delight and surprise at returning to Kannada cinema. She pledged to deliver flawless Kannada during the film’s release.

The film features two talented heroines, Pavana Gowda and Lekha Chandra. Pavana aptly embodies her character’s name and relishes her role in this action-oriented project. Lekha Chandra portrays a bold and expressive character, eagerly anticipating the film’s release.

Acclaimed composer Gurukiran eagerly anticipates discussing the film’s musical compositions during the audio release. He reminisces about his formative years alongside Tiger Prabhakar in the realm of cinema.

Deepak Shetty, a pivotal figure in the film, emphasizes that ‘Fighter’ transcends mere action, delving into relationships, notably the mother-son dynamic. His character, Venkoba, showcases dual facets within the narrative.

Nutan Umesh, renowned for family-centric narratives, remains within the parameters of his expertise. The film’s title release was driven by Vinod Prabhakar’s fans, and they can expect a distinctive cinematic experience in October. Nutan Umesh assures audiences of a unique film, praising Vinod Prabhakar’s impeccable style and appearance.
