The much-awaited pan-India mythological drama Ramaraasa is getting bigger and more powerful. Having successfully completed its entire shoot, the film has now entered the high-end post-production stage. The team has announced a major addition to its cast — Sandalwood star Deadly Aditya.
Known for his intense and powerful performances, Aditya will be seen in a never-before-seen avatar as ‘Veera Durmurgi’. His character is not merely an addition to the story but marks a significant turning point. Veera Durmurgi is portrayed as a symbol of power, fear and destruction, with a major part of the mystery surrounding the Dasha Mahavidyas revolving around his character.
The film is inspired by traditional folk and local spiritual practices and revolves around a rooted fantasy narrative depicting the divine play of Parashakti.
Dynamic Star Prajwal Devaraj as Guru Siddha, Bigg Boss Kannada winner Karthik Mahesh, Bollywood and South actress Adah Sharma in a powerful role, Sharan as Indra Devendra, Hebah Patel, Balaji Manohar, Vaishali and Aditya as Veera Durmurgi.
Directed by B.M. Giriraj and produced by Guru Deshpande and Vikram Arya, under the collaboration of G Cinemas Production and Seven Star Movies. Guru Deshpande is the Creative Head. Cinematography is by A.V. Krishnakumar (KK), music by B.J. Bharath, editing by Arjun Kittu, and art direction by Hosmane Murthy. Lyrics are by Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad, Nagarjun Sharma and Puneeth Rangaswamy.
High-end editing, VFX and sound-design work are currently underway at advanced studios, with the team working towards delivering a grand visual experience.
The makers have also revealed that several important characters and surprise casting announcements are being kept under wraps and will be introduced one by one. The official teaser release date and first-look posters of upcoming characters will be announced soon.
Ramaraasa is gearing up for a grand pan-India release.
