Produced by Prakash Buduru under Akasha Pictures and directed by P.C. Shekhar, ‘Mahaan’ stars Shivaraj Kumar and Vijay Raghavendra. The film also features six veteran Kannada actors—Devaraj, Ramesh Bhat, Avinash, Rangayana Raghu, Sharath Lohithashwa and Ramesh Indira—in important roles. Their first looks were recently unveiled.
Ramesh Indira plays an Inspector, while Dynamic Hero Devaraj portrays a Superintendent of Police who questions the functioning and shortcomings of the police department.
Rangayana Raghu appears as a senior farmer leader who safeguards the interests of the entire village. Ramesh Bhat plays an experienced doctor.
Sharath Lohithashwa portrays a religious guru who influences the villagers through local traditions, divine values and spiritual thoughts, in a role quite different from his earlier characters.
Avinash plays a proud and disciplined soldier who introduces the importance of the armed forces to the village.
Director P.C. Shekhar expressed happiness that the contribution of these accomplished actors has added strength to Mahan.
The multi-starrer features Vijay Raghavendra as a farmer, while Karunada Chakravarthy Shivaraj Kumar appears in a special role. Radhika Narayan, Mitra, Namrata Gowda, Varsha Bollamma and Kiran Srinivas are also part of the cast.
The film has music by Arjun Janya, lyrics by Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad, cinematography by S. Vaidhi and dialogues by Prashanth Rajappa.
