Under the leadership of Chetan Surya, STELLER STUDIO & EVENT MANAGEMENT, in association with PRK Studio, is organizing the fourth season of the “Appu Cup” (Shuttle Badminton Tournament) from July 24, 25, and 26. The “Appu Cup Season 4” jersey unveiling ceremony was held recently in a grand manner.
MLC and Sai Gold Palace owner T.A. Sharavana, along with Kannada activist and former President of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, Sa. Ra. Govindu, attended as chief guests and unveiled the jersey. Men and Women Icons, team ambassadors, captains, owners, and players were also present on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, T.A. Sharavana said, “Three seasons of the ‘Appu Cup’ have been conducted successfully under the leadership of Chetan Surya. Now the fourth season is about to begin. The reason it is being organized on such a grand scale is the strength of Puneeth Rajkumar’s name. Last year, we organized the final in Goa. This year, we had plans to organize it abroad. However, due to the ongoing war, we felt it was not worth taking the risk, so the matches are being held in Bengaluru. We will organize it abroad next time. Another special feature is that our Sai Gold Palace is presenting gifts worth ₹5 lakh to the winning team and gifts worth ₹2 lakh to the runner-up team.”
Sa. Ra. Govindu also wished “Appu Cup Season 4” great success.
A special highlight this year is that “Appu Cup” recognized four talented players who have earned recognition at the national level in shuttle badminton and have become National Champions twice, and presented them with financial assistance to support their future sporting careers.
