Under the Umesh Films banner, ‘Rukmini Radha Krishna’, produced by N. Hanumantharaju and N.H. Umesh, is directed by Pran Suvarna. The audio launch event for two songs, composed by Sunad Gowtham, was held recently.
Bharat Kumar, son of Shilpa Srinivas, Majestic 2 fame, Paaru fame Mokshitha Pai, and Riya Sachdev play the lead roles in the film.
Releasing the songs, Lahari Velu said, “There are five beautiful songs in this film, and they have been picturized wonderfully. I have high expectations for the film.”
Lyricist K. Kalyan said, “The team’s Siddhathe, Baddhathe, and Shraddhathe (preparation, commitment, and dedication) are truly convincing. The preparedness of the producers and the commitment of the director are reflected in these songs. Since the heroine’s character has a Tamil background, I wrote the song ‘Agasada Enidu Chatuvatike Bhumiyalli Tumbite…’ by blending Tamil and Kannada. Earlier, I had also written a few Kannada lines for a Tamil song composed by A.R. Rahman.”
Lead actor Bharat Kumar (Majestic 2 fame) said, “When I met Lahari Velu, he appreciated the meaningful lyrics and acquired the audio rights for a good price. When we wanted a bilingual song, K. Kalyan penned the lyrics accordingly. My mother suggested that Paaru fame Mokshitha Pai would be perfect for the role of Radha. Both the producers are like brothers to me. Radha is the soul that exists between Rukmini and Krishna. Sunad Gowtham is the reason these songs have turned out so beautifully.”
Television actress Mokshitha Pai said, “Bharat accompanied the producers when they narrated the story to me. When they asked me which role I wanted to play, I chose this character because I was drawn to its emotional intensity. There is no Radha without Rukmini. This song was shot in Kumbakonam.”
Actress and model Riya Sachdev said, “I play the role of Rukmini in this film. I am grateful that the team trusted me with this role.”
Music director Sunad Gowtham said, “The story is very unique. I have composed music for six songs, and the entire team dreams of presenting this project on a grand scale. I believe Rukmini Radhakrishna will be remembered as a musical entertainer.”
Director Pran Suvarna said, “Kalyan sir gave me the lyrics the very next day after I finalized the tune. Bharat appreciated my work and suggested that we make a film together before introducing me to the producers. I developed the screenplay from a single-line story narrated by Bharat. Radha is Krishna’s soul, while Rukmini is his eternal companion. A major portion of the film was shot in Kumbakonam. According to the Shastras, even after 24 Kalpas, the bond between Radha and Krishna never changes.”
Producer N.H. Umesh said, “Ninety percent of the shooting has been completed, and only one song remains to be filmed.”
Talented singer Rajat Hegde has lent his voice to two songs in the film. Among them, ‘Agasada Enidu Chatuvatike…’ stands out as a beautifully melodious composition.
