This is one more film to launch before the inauspicious Ashada Maasa. The muhurat ceremony of ‘Naari’, produced by Muniraju and Rojamma under the R.K. Golden Movie Productions banner, was held ceremoniously on Monday at Sri Bande Mahankali Temple. Through this film, Ravi Kalyan is making his debut as a hero, while Kuber K. Impoo has written the story and screenplay and is directing the film.
Having acted as a villain in around 10 films, Ravi Kalyan is turning hero through this film. His parents are the producers of the film. Speaking about the movie, he said, “This is my first film as a hero. Before this, I acted as a villain in around 10 films. I have acted in films starring Darshan, Chiranjeevi Sarja, ‘Sanchari’ Vijay, and others. This has a good story with a meaningful message for society. The story is about how important a male child is to a family. Here, the story itself is the hero. The director has written every character very well. I have prepared extensively for this role.”
Having written the story and screenplay for around 20 films over the last 15 years, including ‘Pade Pade’, ‘Abhinetri’, ‘Maada Mattu Maanasi’, ‘Dharmasya’, and ‘Paadarasa’, Kuber is making his independent directorial debut with this film. Speaking about ‘Naari’, he said, “The story is about what all happens in the life of a man who sets out to do only good for society. Through this film, we are trying to show how a person who always wishes well for society faces and overcomes the problems that come his way. The hero’s character has two shades. The title ‘Naari’ is apt for the story, and you will understand why after watching the film.”
The film will be shot in Bengaluru, Mandya, Madurai, and other locations. A special highlight is that three popular technicians who played a major role in the success of the film ‘Taj Mahal’ are reuniting after many years for this project. Cinematographer K.S. Chandrashekhar, music director Abhiman Roy, and editor K.M. Prakash are working on the film. V. Nagendra Prasad and ‘Bahaddur’ Chetan are writing the songs.
Priya Hegde stars opposite Ravi Kalyan as the heroine, while ‘Dragon’ Manju will be seen in a powerful villain’s role. Apart from them, Manasi Sudheer, ‘Jolly Jolly’ Jack, Mahanidhi Sai Tej, and several other talented artistes are acting in the film.
